2015, what a year it has been. Looking back, I have entirely completed my exchange program in Nuremberg, Germany and left a big hole in some people’s mind, hoping that I would come back there again and reminisce the good old time. In November, I did it. I made it to travel back and celebrate the Christmas with my German friends. It was something I had never expected to happen in such short amount of time. At that time, I realized my college life had never reached the peak when in Germany, but soared a little higher when I came back, I was flying high, I was psyched. Becky, my senior who is a Christian, invited me to her church to experience a different Christmas Eve, it was my very first time. I sang songs with lots of believers and they were all welcoming. It was a lot of fun to me to get to know more about Jesus, they had an elder preacher who is a well-known architect in that field to share his story with all of us, it was very inspiring. 2015.11.28 Flying Back to Taiwan

Saturday slowly made its way into present with snow, it seemed like Germany wanted me to see the snow as its gift for me. I thanked God for giving me second chance to come to my beloved country and let me fulfill my goals and trips here. Looking back to the time in Munich, I showed the good sides of Taiwanese to the delegates, including explaining the history, political system and, our hospitality. During my stay in Nürnberg, Baris also perfectly showed me the German hospitality by accommodating me and giving me so much help. I cannot thank him enough. I do miss my country but I will always find a way to come back here.  On the way to Munich Souvenirs from tax-free My flight tickets the Xmas market at the airpot lollipop-clouds Emirate lunch

2015.11.27 Nürnberg Christmas Market the Second Time

圖片
Friday is the opening of Nürnberg’s biggest event all over the year- Christmas market. I needed to work in shift to meet up with different friends today since I will be leaving to the airport tomorrow morning. First, after 4 hours of sleeping, I went up and Baris drove me to the Adidas outlet.  Adidas is a German sports company so that’s why I expected to some cheap stuffs in there. Tony, who is Baris’s friend, is working at this company and he can get us extra discount by using his identity.  So gorgeous of a outlet  one day I need to come back here again We spent 1 and a half hour in this big place, couldn’t have enough time to see all the items, at the end I took a pair of running shoes, sport jacket, T-shirt and socks which should have costed me more than 140 euros but turned out to be only 100 euros, it was really a super deal. After coming back to the city, I met my German friends again and I brought some souvenirs for them.  Besides that, I ...

2015.11.26 Visiting Wurzburg

圖片
Baris and I took train to Wurzburg in the morning. We were supposed to go there by his car but unfortunately his car had some problems, still in inspection. The reason why I wanted to go to Wurzburg is because I didn’t go there last year, and I knew it is a nice city to explore. However, we arrived there quite late, so we had to cut some schedules. My first impression is that it is similar to Nuremberg but smaller. There were also quite some churches so we went into one of them.  Then we proceeded to the Reidenz Platz, I could say it is the most iconic site here as this building is listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Even Baris did not know there is such a place.  We first went to the restaurant next to the Residenz, I had Maultaschen ( 德國餛飩 ) that reminded me of Scott’s mom’s dishes.  Gulash Inside the building, the interior design was incredible, but the tour guide only spoke German, we decided to see it by ourselves.  This castle was burn...
