2015.11.26 Visiting Wurzburg
Baris and I took train to Wurzburg in the morning. We were supposed to
go there by his car but unfortunately his car had some problems, still in
inspection. The reason why I wanted to go to Wurzburg is because I didn’t go
there last year, and I knew it is a nice city to explore. However, we arrived
there quite late, so we had to cut some schedules. My first impression is that
it is similar to Nuremberg but smaller. There were also quite some churches so
we went into one of them.
Then we proceeded to the Reidenz Platz, I could say
it is the most iconic site here as this building is listed as UNESCO World
Heritage. Even Baris did not know there is such a place.
We first went to the
restaurant next to the Residenz, I had Maultaschen (德國餛飩) that reminded me of Scott’s mom’s dishes.

Inside
the building, the interior design was incredible, but the tour guide only spoke
German, we decided to see it by ourselves.
This castle was burnt down by British
army, and was soon being renovated in years. Just looked at the roof of the
castle, you will find it very wide because there were not any pillars to
construct, this is a very sophisticate craftsmanship. It cost 6.5 euros for the
student price, but actually I could only see the ground and first floor, it was
much smaller than I thought.

Then we also went to the famous old bridge called
Alte Mainbrücke.
When I was on
the bridge, I soon thought that the feeling was so alike with the Charlie
bridge in Prague, Czech. These two bridges did look very similar, I could see
the castle in the mountain and an arch at the end of the bridge.
Next time I will be on the top |

Xmas is coming! |
Luckily, we
didn’t see many tourists or it would be very annoying. There was also a red
church which looked very outstanding.
At night, I met my German friends who came a long way from their
hometown to Nürnberg. They are my best German friends, Caro, Patrick, Julia and
Andi. We met at Vapiano, that was my second day eating in this restaurant, but I
loved it anyways. We were all glad that we could meet each other again, in the
same year. Nobody saw it coming, including me. Then we proceeded to “downtown”
where we had lots of memories together. After on hour, we had to go to another place
which was a club called “Stereo” before 12, so we could get in for free. I had
never been to that club before, and it was quite a nice place to chill out. We danced
like we were still students until 3 a.m. I had to leave because the next day I will
go to Adidas outlet with Baris and the “discount guy”. By the time when I was
back to the apartment, it was nearly 4 in the morning.
