2014.09.26-30 Prague

After I finished my German exam, I still had to go back to my dorm and packed my luggage. I am going to Czech Republic for 4 days. I didn’t want to change clothes and pants so often so my luggage was not as much as others. Today was also Julia’s birthday so we celebrated it in the Thai restaurant and it was my second time to go there. Suddenly something just came to my mind: I forgot to bring my passport! It’s a must that you have to bring along while travelling to other countries. With so many efforts we arrived at the bus station. Not to my surprise, the bus was late for one hour. I really don’t know how people say German’s punctuality. Because of that we arrived late in Czech. We were just so stupid that although our hostel is 5 minutes from the bus station we still got lost and we went to a totally different place… Iker and I stayed in another room which is for 8 people.

But we didn’t spend much time talking to our roommates because we were so starving, just wanted to go out and grab something to eat.
Store that can change money into Czech currency
I remembered after having our dinner, we went to a club which was free entry. If you didn’t want to buy a beer then you could just dance on the pool. In Taiwan we have to pay quite a lot of money to go inside.

Pub

tonight is the night!

And one more interesting thing is: the price of the beer is cheaper than water! Of course everyone would buy beers of shots to get high. And we went back at around 2:30 am. The second day was also walking walking walking. The breakfast from the hostel was much better than I expected. Then we went on to see Prague. Prague gave me a feeling that it’s a place only for tourists.

The most famous one

What are so many people waiting for?

You can see lots of pubs, clubs and stores for exchanging money. Only the famous spots can attract tourists. If we happened to go in to a local restaurant, we felt not welcomed by the locals.

Local food in Czech!
There are lots of tour guides who can take us to see this beautiful city and tell the history. We can decide whether to pay the tour guide or not, but he was really nice so I paid him 2 euros.

All the views, all the great things you can see in prague is when you climbed up to the prague castle.

The second night we also went to party in a club, but I felt so tired. Didn’t know why others can party so hard. We went back to hostel at 4am. To get the breakfast I had to get up at 9:30. Today we had another tour guide- Lucy. She is Tuomas’s friend who has been living in Czech for her whole life. It’s so good to have her showing us around the city.

Small House

Magnificent

Tonight only 3 people went to a pub, I chose to sleep earlier because we had been walking for 2 days. We stayed in a 8-bed room, but we could hardly talk to our roommates because each time when we came back they were all sleeping. But I did talk to two Scottish girls. They were very nice to me. The last night, only Iker and I, no roommates! No one could disturb me from sleeping. Finally, we went back to Nuremberg in the afternoon. All in all, Prague is the place where you wouldn’t know until you’ve been there done that, but better do some research before going there, like housings, tourist attractions and history.
