2014.10.16

Today in my business cases course I teamed up with Jiny and Park and our topic is about Alibaba. It’s a good topic for us because we are all Asians. After the class, I have to go to the exhibition called “Chillventa 2014” with my teammates from Project Work.

 They are all German and really very nice to me, some of them had been to Taiwan before during their exchange semester in Hong Kong. They were very interested in Taiwan and Asian culture, I promised to be their tour guide when they come to Taiwan.

 The exhibition was very big, it was about air conditioning, heat pumps and ventilation. We had to get as much information as we could from those companies. We met with a woman whom we met last week in the class and she showed us around and provided us the chance to speak with these companies. This was a paper-free trade fair actually, so we didn’t get the fliers from them; instead, each of us got an USB from the company with their PPT inside. 

That was very nice! And all the foods they provided in the place were free. I had two slices of pizza and tried the beer, contacted the companies, the only pity was that they spoke German more than English so sometimes I could just sit with them and wait for someone’s translation. In the end she took us to a Taiwanese company because they wanted to hear me saying mandarin!! It was not a big deal and also I was very happy to meet them. I didn’t expect that we would stay there until 5 pm. I told them that I will go to st.Peter tonight and they invited me to go to their flat to have beer, but before that I would have dinner with my Hong Kong friends. Jenn had bought a grill set so we could have a small BBQ party in her room.

I really love spending time with them, always bring me much joy. We had it until 12 and went to st.Peter space pub, it was quite late!! By the time we got there, there were already full of people and we couldn’t get inside, they even hired security guards, such high-scale. Then I went to see Patrick, one of my teammates, and had some beer with him and his flat mates. The time I went out it was already 2:30 am, and there was no night bus on Thursday, so inconsiderable… Amber and Jiny and I went back by foot, we went back to Avenarius at 3:30. I knew that was kind of crazy but I still wrote my diary but blacked out on the table… I couldn’t believe I have class on Friday morning so I could only sleep for 3 hours.
