This is my first time travelling alone. I
booked the hostel and train, bus ticket on my own. On my way to Wien, I met a
very nice German girl who sat next to me and talked to her for 3 hours. This
time the Flixbus was late for 2 hours, I was not surprised at all. It took me 7
hours to Wien, I followed the instruction and easily found my hostel.
But the
environment I had to say, sucked. I woke up very early then started to explore
the city of music. There was a street called Volkstheater that has a lot of
museums and outstanding buildings.

Then I went to one of the most famous
cathedral there—the Stephan dom. It was pretty amazing.

Plus, there was a
Stadtpark near the cathedral, there I asked an Asian woman who had been living
here for 20 years but she is from Philippines. I asked her where could I find
the most famous chocolate cake in Wien.

The famous cake is called Sachertorte. It
was too sweet for me but I loved it anyway. I didn’t spend much time in Wien,
because I went to visit my friend, Amy, who is also exchange student and live
in Graz now. She is the first of my friends I met in a foreign country. I felt
so much relaxed when I saw her( not because of her..)the next day, we climbed
up 2 small mountains because there were a lot of mountains in Graz, which is
very different from Nuremberg. When we climbed up to the peak and started to
look down, the beautiful sceneries were too numerous to be mentioned.

At night,
she took me to a club where I could meet many exchange students, but it turned
out to be too crowded, most of them were local people and even younger than me.
I didn’t like the music so much, but still stayed until 4am. Then we went to a
Taiwanese student’s dorm and got some food. I decided to sleep on the train and
on the bus. When I was at the Hbf, I realized that I booked 2 tickets from Wien
to Graz! But at the moment I had to take train from Graz to Wien… I asked the
conductor if I could use the ticket to get on the train but got rejected. So I
had to pay the original price which was 37.5€!! and the 14€ I paid couldn’t be returned. I will be more
cautious next time.. hope it was my first and last time to pay twice…
