2015.02.25-27 Last Trip: Visit Scott in Göppingen
Finally the day has come.
Today I left Nürnberg and didn’t know when
will be the next time I come back again. I just had little trouble with the
Hausmeister that he was not satisfied with my room, saying that if I do not
clean up the room more thoroughly, he would deduct my deposit. At the end I
just gave up cleaning because I had to catch the train which went to Stuttgart
and left at 13:40pm. In the
morning, I met Jiny the last time and helped her with her luggage. Her mom was
also there. Sascha drove them to the Hbf.
Amber, whom the first friend I made
in Germany, was also the last one I saw because she accompany me to the Hbf,
this meant a lot to me.
Scott, my German friend, who invited me to his hometown, Göppingen,
is 30 minutes from Stuttgart by train. This is my last trip in Germany before I
leave for Taiwan. His father, Martin, is from England and mother, 靜 (Jing), is from Shan Hai while Scott was born in Germany! We had a
home-made Maultasche (traditional Baden-Württemberg
dumpling) as an afternoon tea then we proceeded to a
beautiful hill along with their dog, Pacino. They drove Jaguar, very British style, and it didn’t
take long to reach the hill. The hill is just a spectacular place, as we went
up along the wild road, we saw the fantastic sunset and rocky stones.

At night,
we went to a bar with Scott’s friend, it was in the city center, but was small
compared to Nürnberg. Then we went back from the bar and enjoyed Göppingen city
side.

I stayed at the room he used to use
The next morning, Scott and I went to Stuttgart city center. First, we visited the Mecedes-Benz museum which was very impressive, they didn’t only tell the Benz history but the whole world since the 19th century. There we spent almost 3 hours then to the city center.

The second night we just chilled at home
and he showed me his guitar, tho I had listened to it once, I was still stunned
by his skill. the last day in the morning, he showed me the rooftop, it was a new-built platform so that we could stand on it. the view from there was very clean very fresh, it must be a perfect place in summer which you can count the stars and even have BBQ.

Martin, 靜 and Pachino also joined us to visit Ulm, a city close to Stuttgart.
We passed through WMF outlet, German cutlery manufacturer, and bought some chocolate in Lindt store.
Also I had a friend who studied in the city so I asked her out. We climbed up
to the Ulmer Münster.
Today the weather was not good, it was
raining and snowing. I didn’t feel very good, maybe I caught a cold. Finally I had
the chance to try the Germany famous coffee—Tchibo.
Ein grosse Latte |
We went back home earlier and
I had him sign on my flag. We went to a forest nearby his place, it was already
dark at 6 pm. We had some talks and walked back. 靜 kindly prepared congee for me as I said
I didn’t feel good. I checked all the stuff to make sure I had everything on
me. 靜
even made me some food so that I won’t be hungry at the airport.
We went to the
train station and as my train came, I waved then got on the train.
I am so
honored that this could be my last station, his parents are so nice to me, we
always had lots of talks and laughs all around us. Scott, my buddy, you are
such a perfect guy, thank you for everything, thank God that I met you in Penny
that day.
