Flying Back to Taiwan
After waving goodbye to Scott and his family, the rest was all
alone. Sitting lonely in the train and arrived in Frankfurt airport at
midnight. Tonight would be a long night. First I met a Chinese guy who missed
his flight, we talked a little bit and he even gave me some cakes he brought from
home. Then he took train later on going to France. I watched “The Maze Runner”
on my laptop just to kill the time.
I drank coffee so that I wouldn’t fall
asleep that easily. Since I was alone there, I could only keep the entire
luggage by myself. After watching the movie I changed place, I went to the
terminal where I had to check in. Frankfurt airport is very big, you have to
take skyline train from terminal 1 to 2. As the sun came out, I went to the
China airline counter and left my luggage. There I saw the people were mostly Taiwanese.
That’s the feeling I haven’t had for a long time.
At 10:40 am, my flight took
off, heading to Taiwan. This is the time I really had to leave Germany, but not permanently. My feeling was
complex, I knew that I am going to see my parents and friends very soon, but
how about the friends in Germany? Will they remember me this Taiwanese guy? I didn’t want to put myself in a bad mood, so I watched 3 movies on
the plane. “Control” “The Judge” and “閨密”. After twelve
hours I landed in my home country—Taiwan. So many Chinese characters, so many
Asian faces, so warm the weather.

I met my parents in the food court. They were
still the same, they told me that I didn’t get fatter but thinner than before,
they wondered if I didn’t treat myself well there. I ate a lot and didn’t do
lots of sports in Germany, somehow I didn’t gain weight, that’s interesting. At
noon we went back to our home sweet home, my grandma even cried when she saw
me. when we were having lunch, maybe I just talked too much about my German life,
I felt lonely again because everything happened too soon to realize. At night, I
had deep fried chicken breast. So yummy.
